Monster Hunter is a franchise of Japanese origin where one hunts monsters. I know, right?
Monster Hunter:World is another entry in that franchise. The notable thing about this one was it was natively released for PC, unlike all the previous entry being almost entirely a console affair.
Anyway...

I can't sleep. So I'm gonna play Monster Hunter World.
So a few rules/challenges/caveats to this playthrough
- The guy's name is Robert Rotten. It happened by accident during Character Creation.
- The game is (slightly) modded towards resource/material collection. This may be controversial but from where I'm standing/sitting/lying down,
The Grind
is a pain. In any game. In this one getting the right material for an upgrade can quickly turn into a chore where you have to hunt the same monster dozen of times. This is a custom mod I made myself and which multiplies the number of materials gathered/carved by a factor of 5 to 10. It also smoothes out the probablity curve of things dropping so instead of having to hunt the same monster 100 times, I only have to hunt it twice and I will get about 10 of the item I need instead of 2. The in came merchant is also modded to carry more things. Also the Ghillie Mantle, which allows you to hide in plainsight, is modded to have a 3 second cooldown. No excuses for the last one. - I will play without armor for as long as possible in the game. #NoArmorChallenge as the kids call it.
- I will talk to All the NPCs . Most people, in most playthoughs of this game will not partake in conversation with the non-player denizens of the World and miss out of a lot of backstory and lore. We're seriously missing out on many small comedic moments and explanations for what the heck is going on with the plot and also, we will discover that there is, in fact, plot.
